Steve White is likely to talk about anything when he's doing standup. "Anything," he insists. "Current events, not a lot of politics but I dabble in it, male, female, race relationships, hypocrisy, marriage, and children. The more I live, the more I have to talk about." An accomplished thespian, White won Best Actor at the 2003 American Black Film Festival in Miami for his role in Skin Deep. He enjoys both of his occupations. "I love standup. Whenever I'm on a movie set, I love acting work. It's a toss-up. It's whatever I'm doing at that particular moment I love the best." The two, of course, complement each other. "Sometimes," he explains, "I rush when I'm doing standup. So I slow down, and apply some acting techniques. Communicate the message, tell the story, and get the point across. That helps in standup." 18+; 21+ later shows.
