Solstice River XVII
Now in its 17th year, Solstice River is a free, site-specific event. It's also part of Global Water Dance, a worldwide happening that seeks to call attention to water access and quality issues. This year's local dance, choreographed by Marylee Hardenbergh with the help of Jordan Hart and Emily Gastineau, will invite audiences to arrive at the Stone Arch Bridge. There, the area around will come alive with performances from artists on top of buildings, along the river, on kayaks, and more. It's one of many dances planned this Saturday throughout the world, starting on the Pacific Rim that morning and moving westward through over 60 cities.
