Snocross Racing & Freestyle
With the cold weather and likelihood of snow to soon be on the tracks, horse racing at Canterbury Park is currently on hiatus. But that doesn't mean that all races are off. For the next two days, the venue will host a variety of events involving the snowmobile. Professional and amateur racers will compete in speed races, stunts, and other feats demonstrating mechanical dominance. While some will attempt to go as fast as humanly possible, others will try to catch a lot of air. Some may even attempt to do flips on their automobiles (which sounds like something best kept to the BMX circuit, but is apparently entirely possible). Professional racing starts at 6 p.m. each day, with amateur events and other happenings each morning. (Photo by Ross Martin)
