Sever's Corn Maze and Fall Festival
Some say that the fall season is never complete without a trip to the apple orchard, while others prefer to get lost in a field of corn. Folks of the latter disposition should be sure to make their way to Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee. Though the design is entirely manmade, this year's theme is outer space. So be prepared to get lost amongst aliens and flying saucers as far-out clues and fun facts greet wanderers along the way. There's still plenty to do onsite once you have made it out, including a smaller hay maze to wind through, a corn pool to swim in, and a barnyard filled with animals to pet. Take a ride down the giant slide, sling pumpkins at a target, and cheer on pigs as they race together. Be sure to buy tickets before 4:30 p.m. if you plan on entering the maze.
Saturdays, Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: Sept. 17. Continues through Oct. 30, 2011
