Sequence Now!Soo Visual Arts Center
Sequential art is something that spans artistic genres, from ancient hieroglyphs to today's graphic novels and triptychs. The idea is that this type of art tells a visual narrative by capturing crucial storytelling moments on the way from point A to B. For the group show "Sequence Now," Soo Visual Arts Center's latest exhibition, artists will explore this world of rapid change and shifts in stories told through visual mediums. Some pieces include multiple panels and even a bit of written word, while others powerfully express a story with a single image. Determining what story they tell should make for fun debate with friends. There will be an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 13. (Pictured: Stefani McDade, Killing Dreams)
