Second Annual West Bank Bash
The West Bank School of music began in the '70s as a flexible way for people of all ages and skill levels to add a little music to their busy lives. A 501 nonprofit music school, it offers private lessons, group classes, and even band placements for those ready for and interested in playing around town. Musical genres explored include, but aren't limited to, jazz, blues, folk, rock, hip hop, classical, Celtic, Latin, and African. This Sunday, Seward neighborhood's Eagles Club helps to raise funds for the school with performances featuring some of the best folk, blues, and gospel musicians in town. Charlie Parr, "Spider" John Koerner, Black Audience, and the Brass Kings are all scheduled to play. The event is family-friendly, so feel free to bring the kiddies for some youthful inspiration.
