Rosy Simas Danse: Its Strange to Be Here, the Mystery Never Leaves You
Choreographer Rosy Simas is taking a cue from the late Irish poet and philosopher John O'Donohue for her newest evening of dance. His themes encompass friendship, art, longing, belonging, and the fine line between the world we can see and the world we can only imagine. Simas translates the essence of O'Donohue's fluid words into two movement works that will be performed by dancers who never leave the stage. Expect a pleasing, organic blend of contemporary dance combined with elements of contact improvisation and a rich sense of possibility that can only be realized through every gesture, moment, action, and reaction.
