Don’t be fooled by the seriousness of the name; this happening promises a lot of fun. The St. Paul river balcony, with its paths, parks, and plazas, will be filled with things to see and do. Friday’s gathering will take place at Kellogg Mall Park, and will feature food trucks, craft beer, and live music from Maria Isa, the Wibesmen, Ryan Liestman’s Reggae Revival, and Ipso Facto. On Saturday, the party will expand to include areas surrounding the Science Museum of Minnesota and Union Depot. There will be food, beer, and music by Grape Whales, Alex Rossi, and Communist Daughter. On display will be 11 installations exploring the future of the river balcony. Artists include Alyssa Baguss, Aaron Dysart, Emily Stover, and Gary Johnson. For a full lineup and more info, visit riverbalconyprototyping.wordpress.com.
