Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show
Richard O'Brien's the Rocky Horror ShowOrdway Center for the Performing Arts
Never having actually done the Time Warp, it's technically impossible for me to do it "again." But give me about half a second and I can conjure up the famous tune and some fuzzy memories of a late-night screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on a murky night in late-1970s Ohio: Half the audience was engaged in dialogue with the screen (when not hurling food at it), while the other half wondered what they were missing. This Ordway production is a largely homegrown affair, mixing big contemporary stagecraft with the original's camp, sci-fi, goth, hornily decadent trappings. And any time you can describe something as "hornily decadent," you can't go completely wrong
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Sept. 18. Continues through Nov. 25, 2007
