RetroRama: Dive into '50s Pulp

Lyndon B. Johnson once said, "We can draw lessons from the past, but we cannot live in it." In an effort to defy the latter part of this sentiment, the Minnesota History Center presents another installment of Retrorama, an evening of indulging our rose-tinted view of decades long gone. This year's theme is "Dive into '50s Pulp," and it features Al's Rockabilly Quartet, the Pop-up Pulp Dancers, a vintage boutique, card-making, pulp cover-inspired photography by Thomas Allen, and MHS art and artifacts. The highlight, however, is a hard-boiled mystery by the always entertaining Electric Arc Radio writers and players. Pull on your pencil skirt, tilt your fedora, and ignore Johnson's words in favor of Oscar Wilde's: "The one charm of the past is that it is the past." Exactly.
