Project Runway Premiere Party & Screening
If you have cable TV and are into fashion, chances are your TiVo is set for 9 p.m. tonight, when season six of Project Runway debuts on Lifetime. But if you're like me and afraid of committing to cable, you'll be reading recaps at work the next day with a sad cup of Joe. Fret not, fans, because l'étoile magazine has come to the rescue by hosting a red-carpet party at the Landmark Plaza. Why the big to-do? To honor two fashion heroes from Minnesota who made the cut and now have Heidi Klum on speed-dial. Local designers and competitors Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman and Christopher Straub will be making a brief appearance between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. At 9 p.m. grab your spot on the outdoor plaza to watch the long-awaited premiere on a 40-foot screen. Post-screening events include a cocktail reception with both designers at the St. Paul Hotel (350 Market St., 651.292.9292), and an after-party at Camp Bar (490 N. Robert St., 651.292.1844) starting at midnight. Editor's note: Due to the likelihood of bad weather the screening has been moved to inside the Landmark Center. (photo by Mike Yarish)
