Prints and Paintings by Booka B and Lindsay Splichal
The Art Leadership Program, founded by Ron Ridgeway and sponsored by OST USA, has been helping emerging artists with supplies and resources, as well as gallery and studio space in the TractorWorks Building, for several years. Such local artists as Elizabeth Simonson and Brian Hart have used the program as a springboard to high-profile commissions. This week Booka B (a.k.a. Adam Booker), a recent graduate of Metropolitan State University, exhibits his silkscreen stencils (also known as serigraphy). Lindsay Splichal, a recent graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, is also part of the exhibition, showing conceptual intaglio prints that all bear the mark of the same incised copper plate. 4 to 7 p.m. (Pictured: Booka B, Tapes & Tapes)
Thu., March 6, 4-7 p.m., 2014
