Tamara Ober wowed Twin Cities audiences last summer at the Minnesota Fringe Festival with Sin Eater, her docudrama/multidisciplinary solo performance piece about a woman who seeks redemption for her war-veteran father. Ober's emotional intensity, combined with her incredible dance technique and unaffected acting style, won her three Sage nominations — Best Dance, Dancer, and Design — in 2012. After a successful tour around the Fringe circuit, the McKnight fellow is bringing the work back to the Twin Cities as part of Red Eye's New Works 4 Weeks Festival. She shares the bill with Angharad Davies's Pretend, a piece about finding identity in today's image-saturated world.
