Posters and Pints: Extended Show

Art, Cycling, Galleries
While art and beer are usually considered separate pursuits, both represent the distinct flavor of the Twin Cities, especially when paired in an event such as the Posters and Pints fundraiser. Developed to benefit Art Buddies, a mentor program focused on inspiring creativity by partnering inner-city children with seasoned artists, Posters and Pints encourages attendees to sip enticing ales (including some event-exclusive concoctions) from 15 of the Twin Cities' most esteemed breweries while perusing limited-edition, beer-themed posters from over 30 local designers. As an additional benefit, each poster carries a modest price tag of just $30, allowing for an affordable way to pick up a souvenir while supporting a worthy cause. As an example of community involvement, it's hard to imagine a more agreeable effort than marveling over works of local artists with a freshly drawn pint in hand. After the opening party Saturday, June 11, the show will be moving to Fair State, where you can still shop for art and enjoy beer.
