Pete Correale is one of the hardest working comics in show business, and while that sounds a bit like hyperbole, it is nonetheless accurate. With several appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman under his belt, he continues to build his fan base. The tricky part is figuring out the best way to cultivate that following. "Everyone has different ideas," he explains. "I work with a company that works with Jeff Dunham, and he hit really hard on the internet. They said, 'You gotta hit real hard on your website.' But with all due respect to Jeff Dunham, he did this one particular bit with a puppet that absolutely blew up and everybody wanted to see. I just have jokes. I'm not over-the-top." Correale is persistent, though, a trait that extends into all parts of his life. "My wife and I are trying to have a kid now," he says. "A couple weeks ago we were having sex, and I was so sure that I had impregnated her. I just looked down at her and said, 'Congratulations.' Still nothing." She's persistent too, though. "I was on the road recently, and she called up and said, 'I've been reading lot of magazines lately, and they say you gotta keep the pipes clean, if you know what I mean.' Yeah I got it, I have to masturbate. I'm a man. You don't have to tell a man to do that. It's like telling us to breathe." 18+; 21+ later shows.
