A sizable buzz accompanies the Birmingham quartet Peace as they arrive from the U.K., with a major-label (Columbia/Sony) deal in hand and already buffeted by gusts of both praise and criticism. For what it's worth, England's NME slapped the lads on the cover and declared their debut, In Love, album of the year. Of course, you (mostly) can't hear In Love yet because it won't be released stateside until late August. In Love allegedly "highlights the band's gentler side" after the aggressive, guitar-oriented (and domestically available) EP Delicious, which includes the sunny, ambling "Californian Daze" and the psychedelic epic "1998 (Delicious)." Opening will be Brooklyn's Team Spirit, a guitar-driven power-pop outfit led by Passion Pit's Ayad Al Adhamy. 18+.
