Nothing says "summertime fun" like a big backyard to play, picnic, and lounge in. The Walker seems to agree with this sentiment, and is once again opening its grassy green lawn to the public. Throughout the season guests will be able to visit with friends; check out board games, sports equipment, or art supplies from the tool shed; or surf the web on their laptops using the free wi-fi. At the Garden Grill by D'Amico's, folks can snack on grilled meat and veggie items, potato salad, beer, and lemonade. Those looking for a little summer school should be sure to partake in some of the planned workshops, classes, and information shares, which range from Tai Chi workouts to lectures on feminism in art to acoustic concerts to art swaps to LARP nights.
