Objects from Community Engaged Art: A Holiday Show
Third Place Gallery's latest show, "Objects from Community Engaged Art," will highlight efforts from eight south Minneapolis artists working in public practice. Meaning, all of the folks showcased here have contributed to public projects in the Twin Cities. Featured artists range from emerging to mid-career to well-established, with Jerome, McKnight, and Bush fellows also in the mix. The show includes pieces from Wing Young Huie, Andrea Jenkins, Andy Sturdevant, and Xavier Tavera. Prints, books, drawings, and photography will be on display, and during the two-day exhibition visitors will be able to purchase pieces ranging in price from $5 to a few hundred dollars.
