Michael Frayn's Noises Off! comes to the Jungle with a singular reputation as one of the funniest shows in recent memory. The wild production is a farce-within-a-farce, as it traces the ill-fated tour of the terrible Nothing On by a company of less-than-ideal actors. The Jungle certainly isn't foreign territory for comedies, from Blithe Spirit to The Mystery of Irma Vep to last summer's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Like a lot of comedies, farces especially, Noises Off! requires a company of actors who are in complete synch. Director Joel Sass, who has worked on numerous shows at the Jungle, around the Twin Cities, and throughout the country, has brought together a crack acting team, starting with Jungle veterans Bradley Greenwald (City Pages 2012 Actor of the Year), Kirby Bennett, Stephen D'Ambrose, and Cheryl Willis. There are also a number of performers making their first or second turns on the Lyn-Lake stage, including Summer Hagen and Ryan Nelson. (Photo by Dan Norman)
