Nick Kroll

Nick Kroll has been one of the biggest names of the alt-comedy movement for the past several years. Fans might know him from his role as Ruxin, the ruthless, vulgar fantasy-football titan on the hit television show The League; his well-known sketch characters/viral video sensations Bobby Bottleservice, El Chupacabra, and Fabrice Fabrice; or as "that funny guy with the glasses on Best Week Ever." This January, he'll take the next step toward greater stardom with his own sketch show, Kroll Show, on Comedy Central. This week, he'll be stopping in Minneapolis for his first-ever area performance. Armed with a combination of standup and clips from the new program, Kroll says this won't be your average night of comedy. "Most standups like to build a story and build momentum with their performance, but I'm kind of lazy. I seriously haven't even come up with material yet," he deadpans. "I'll probably do a few minutes of my act, then show like 10 minutes of clips, and then do more of the act. But I'm still figuring it out." No matter how familiar you are with Kroll's work, you're guaranteed to see something brand new at the show. "I get bored of doing the same jokes and characters," he says. "I need to make myself laugh, and I like doing things that I find funny." 18+.
