New Land of Milk and Honey
This group art show is less a defined gallery event and more the result of a collaborative experiment in communal living. The community in question is situated in western Wisconsin, and guests can learn about its experiences in shared living in this exhibit featuring three participants: fashion designer Annie Larson, installation artist (and farmer) Brett Smith, and his sister Erin Smith, whose interests include interior design and jewelry (the siblings also collaborate under the name Sisbro Design). The ongoing show will feature fashion, art installation, and performance. The opening reception from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. this Saturday will include a performance and presentation at 8 p.m. from the artists, as well as collaboration with video artist Adrian Freeman and his wife Annemarie Freeman. The closing party will host a performance from Portland, Oregon, grunge rockers Hooliganship at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 3. (Photo by Ross Yates)
