It's hard to run out of things to say about a man who never runs out of things to say. Not only is Myq Kaplan one of the most intriguing young talents to make waves on the national comedy circuit in the past few years, he's also a brilliant wordsmith. His debut album, Vegan Mind Meld (Live at Comix), is as good an introduction as any. Chock-full of astute witticisms and smart word play, it finds Kaplan carefully bouncing between the innocent and controversial without coming off as smug or subversive. Despite his generally mild-mannered demeanor, Kaplan delivers his material at a rapid-fire pace that rarely misses a beat. His résumé's not too shabby, either. It's remarkable that Kaplan, a 2010 Last Comic Standing finalist with several late-night appearances under his belt, is still in his 30s. He's just getting started. 18+.
