This weekend, MN Made returns once again for a celebration of all things creative in Minnesota. And while you'll be able to shop at a special MN Made Artists' Mart throughout the day, it is your own creativity that is truly the focus of this daylong event. Workshops scheduled include hands-on D.I.Y. activities ranging from paper art making, to knitting for beginners, to seed art creations (bring your patience), to Finnish belt making. The event will also feature seminars to help shift your creativity from a pipe dream into reality. Topics include tips and tricks on selling work, how to create a scene in your hometown, and how to quit your day job and actually make money doing something you love. If you're still looking for a creative spark, be sure to take a guided tour of the Walker's folk-art exhibit, "The Spectacular of Vernacular," or listen to some bluegrass tunes by Dusty Porch Sisters.
Sat., April 9, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., 2011
