The Regis Center for Art at the U of M opens its 10th anniversary celebration with "Minnesota Funk." The group exhibition — featuring video and sculpture by new art-department faculty member Chris Larson — takes a playful look at what makes our "Funkytown" so groovy. Is it the fungi growing from Kate Casanova's upholstered furniture? Frank Gaard's bright, brash, cartoon-like commentaries on Twin Cities culture? Faye Passow's whimsical nature adventures? Bobby Dues Wilson's vibrant iconography? It's your call, oh funky one. There will be a public reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 6. (Pictured: Art by Jenny Schmid)
