Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion Week: Full Fashion Panic
While most Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion Week events feature styles in the spirit of tasteful glamour and high fashion, Full Fashion Panic will enthusiastically dive into the playfully gaudy, whimsically insane, maddeningly colorful side of clothing. Here the inspirations will be more storybook, as models will rock looks celebrating Lolita, steampunk, and cosplay fashions sure to spark ideas for Halloween, CONvergence, or, if you're the exhibitionist type, a weeknight at the bar. The runway show serves as both the final salute to the nine-day festival organized by MNfashion and as the kick-off party to MCAD's Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits conference examining Japanese pop culture. Looks seen on last year's runway included sexy zombies, brides of the damned, a goth Alice in Wonderland, and a healthy dose of ninja accessories paired with formal attire. Participating designers this year include Lauren Peyton, Jason Axness/Cindee Brown, Deborah Block, Kayley Johnson, Lisa Rosenberg, Brianna Westlund, and Tara Reich.
