Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition Joy Ride Series: Bikes and Brewvies
What's one of the best signs of spring in the Twin Cities? When 30 Days of Biking events begin to pop up around town. Saturday afternoon marks the organization's official kick-off ride at Minnehaha Falls. Meanwhile, folks looking for a little Saturday-night entertainment on two wheels should be sure to partake in Bikes and Brewvies. Meet at 6 p.m. at the Freewheel Midtown Bike Center, and prepare for a night of brewery barhopping fun. The group will ride first to Fulton Brewery, then on to Dangerous Man Brewing Co., and, finally, to Indeed Brewing Company and Taproom. At each stop those of age will be invited to sip cold beer as bike films are projected on buildings ("brewvies" is a mashup of beer and movies — get it?). At the last stop, raffle winners will be selected. For more info, including the planned route, visit mplsbike.org. Helmets are required for this ride, so be sure to pop on your flashiest headgear before heading out. All ages, 21+ to drink and enter the breweries.
