Comedian Michael Loftus is all about keeping it real. "I cannot stand it when I see comedians up there telling lies," he says. "'The other day my three-year-old came in and said the cutest thing.' No he didn't. I want to see a picture of your kid. I think you're lying, dude. Everything I talk about on stage is based in reality and honesty. I'll take something small and blow it up into epic proportions for comedic effect, but I'm never going to lie to you." Perhaps that's why he enjoys his other gig so much. Indeed, you may have seen Loftus hosting Tru TV's World's Dumbest. "It's me and a bunch of other standup comics and people like Todd Bridges and Danny Bonaduce and Tonya Harding. I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd be on a motorized beer cooler riding around a parking lot with Tonya Harding hanging off the back. That's the kind of surreal reality that I'm in right now." It's the core premise of the show that he really enjoys. "It's real people who made the worst decisions ever, and you watch it all play out from a police dashboard camera." The viewer can even take away some valuable lessons as well. "If you're ever feeling bad about your life," he advises. "'I don't know how I'm going to pay the bills. I don't know what I'm going to do.' Turn on World's Dumbest, you'll feel so much better about yourself." 18+; 21+ later shows.
