Mark Mallman

Sure, it might seem like 2007 has been a low-key year for Mark Mallman, but the top marathon-musician of the Twin Cities is in training, "Eye of the Tiger"-style. Over the years, the rocking pianist has performed two of the most epic songs ever written. In 1999 "Marathon 1" ran for a bender of 26.2 hours, and "Marathon 2" in 2004 blasted away for a memorable 52.4 hours, both setting world records for the "longest rock song ever written." Like a swimmer or a long-distance runner, Mallman continues to compete against himself for the best time yet, and, to prove that he's still's in excellent musical shape, he hopes to crush his own record yet again with a 78.6-hour tune slated to be unleashed sometime in 2009. Though this New Year's Eve celebration won't last as long (or even come close to approaching his first world record), that doesn't mean you can't have an epically good time listening to tunes from his many CDs (2006's Between the Devil and Middle C is especially choice). The night also features a lingerie fashion show, as well as performances by the Alarmists and Solid Gold. 18+.
