To celebrate the solstice, Silverwood Park, a part of the Three Rivers Park District, is lighting up the night with a party that celebrates the winter stars. Visitors will be able to make constellation luminaries from clay, have some some fun with interactive light displays, and take a look at the night sky through a telescope. It’s all a part of Silverwood’s Make and Mingle quarterly event series, aimed at adults over 21. There won’t be alcohol for purchase, but you can bring your own beer to sip by the fire while listening to music and munching on pudgy pies and s’mores. Embrace the winter and step out for some creative fun during the darkest time of the year. 21+.
