Black-Eyed Snakes

Longfellow Roots, Rock & Deep-Blues Festival

July 16
2 p.m.-12 a.m.
Blues, Rock
This sixth annual festival benefiting Patrick's Cabaret will again sport a rich roster of talent from near and far in Minneapolis' funky Longfellow neighborhood. The array of artists from just the Twin Cities and Duluth represent a broad swath of folk, country, blues, R&B, rock 'n' roll, and Afrobeat via Charlie Parr, Black-Eyed Snakes, Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank, Erik Koskinen, Black Market Brass, and a couple of virtual legends in "Spider" John Koerner and Cornbread Harris. From down in Iowa there'll be master songwriter and harmonica ace Dave Moore, plus country-blues couple Joe and Vicki Price. The deep-blues contingent hails directly from Mississippi hill country: Kent Burnside, grandson of blues icon R.L. Burnside, and his New Generation Band, and Lightnin' Malcolm, a disciple of R.L., Junior Kimbrough, and T Model Ford. And combining deep-blues spirit with ferocious rock 'n' roll will be Indiana's Left Lane Cruiser. The full schedule and venue locations for the five-stage fest is at
