LoLa Art Crawl
The second annual LoLa Art Crawl boasts a surfeit of amazing local talent, with 84 artists exhibiting their works at more than 40 different sites. The League of Longfellow Artists will sponsor this free event, showcasing their wide range of artisan crafts to the public. A true feast for the eyes is in store for those who embark on the self-guided tour through various art studios and cafes in Minneapolis's beautiful Longfellow neighborhood. Displaying and selling pieces as diverse as the artists themselves, the LoLa Art Crawl features the best in local handiwork, including jewelry, paintings, glasswork, photography, pottery, batik, and myriad other forms of artwork. The two-day festival also features eco-conscious items like "frankensweaters" (sweaters assembled from many different pieces) and whimsical sculptures made from found items. With an exhibitor lineup that has grown immensely over the past year, attendees will get the unique chance to see how community artists work their craft only a stone's throw away from the backdrop of the stunning Minnehaha Falls.
