Live Harness Racing

Okay, so harness racing isn't quite as dramatic as chariot racing. There aren't any gold-painted wheelbarrows pulling men wearing spiked metal bracelets. Its fanbase also isn't as intense as those of other forms of horse racing. However, harness racing is still pretty neat. Horses pull their drivers using a sulky, a two-wheeled cart. Though time is of the essence, rhythm is also important. If a horse loses its pace it will also probably lose the race. Races occur at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and at 4 p.m. on Sundays. You can also place bets and watch racing live on television daily starting at 11 a.m. Running Aces Harness Park also offers dining and card tables; both run on Vegas hours (a.k.a. 24 hours a day).
Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 7 p.m.; Sundays, 4 p.m. Starts: May 15. Continues through Aug. 9, 2009
