Before the Liquid Music performances by Sarah Kirkland Snider, Shara Worden, and yMusic this week, Minneapolis art and design group RO/LU will take over the lobby with a "spatial intervention" to create conversation about art and community. The installation is another initiative by Liquid Music curator Kate Nordstrum. She was intrigued by how RO/LU co-founder Matt Olson discussed the group's work in musical terms. RO/LU's mission is "to explore the relationship between life, our surroundings, and the objects and ideas that fill those spaces." Olson says the installation may include portions of a five-foot-wide, two-mile-long roll of white felt, previously unfurled in a dry lake bed in Joshua Tree, California.
