Lar Lubovitch

For 40 years, Lar Lubovitch has been creating movement that is as smooth and rich as butterscotch candy. Primarily known as a modern dance choreographer, Lubovitch has also created work for Olympic ice dancers, a side project that suits his interest in perpetual motion, seamless pairing, and pitch-perfect musicality. The New York-based company will perform Concerto Six Twenty-Two, set to a Mozart composition, at the Northrop. The crisp work, performed in flowing white costumes, seems appropriate for the early onset of winter, but don't worry about catching a chill: The Lubovitch dancers may move as effortlessly as winter snowflakes, but they also generate plenty of heat.
