Kramarczuk's Kielbasa Festival
With the fall months fast approaching, Oktoberfest celebrations are right around the corner. In the meantime, Kramarczuck's will tide folks over with a two-day festival honoring Eastern European food and culture. This weekend, the northeast Minneapolis deli will be serving up sausage, beer, and tasty street foods in a tented parking lot outside. Upon entrance, folks will be handed a beer stein to fill with any of the several brews on tap, including local and European varieties (added bonus: the first beer is included in the price of admission). Try a sample of spicy meat from a 30-foot-long sausage, or douse a kielbasa with fixings such as sauerkraut, mustard, and relish. There will also be plenty of folk-dance performances and music from the Brass Barn Polka Band, Red Daughters, Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, Dr. Kielbasa, and others. All ages.
Fri., Sept. 7, 5-10 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 8, 11 a.m.-10 p.m., 2012
