Kjell Bjorgen

"I've got an identical twin brother, which sucks," says Kjell (pronounced "Chell") Bjorgen. "My brother is older by five minutes, and apparently those five minutes gave him the ability to succeed in life." That's a comedic exaggeration for sure. The "younger" Bjorgen, a Minneapolis native, started doing standup in Los Angeles in 1999 and was quickly recognized as one of America's up-and-coming comics. He was asked to join Lewis Black's Nothing's Sacred tour in 2005, and has performed at both the Aspen and Montreal comedy festivals. After taking off a few years to recharge, Bjorgen is back making audiences laugh. Still, that sibling rivalry haunts him. "My brother was better in everything, had better grades, was better in sports—and that goes back to birth because my parents apparently didn't know I was coming. They just thought they had my brother. I crashed my own birth. 'He's our baby, he has success in his eyes,' and then the doctor said, 'Wait, there's something more.' My brother was in a cozy blanket, and I was in a bedpan." 18+.
