Kids Like Us album-release party
Inspired by other Minneapolis musicians, friends Eli Fhima, Sam Wayne, and Lizzie Fontaine formed the hip-hop group Kids Like Us in 2010. Since then, the three have developed a distinct sound by striking a balance among their individual performance personalities. Wayne builds on his passion for acting by often rapping in character. Fhima explores emotional landscapes and societal issues. Vocalist Fontaine's bold voice provides a sense of optimism and positivity as the thread that ties the trio's common themes together. They will celebrate the release of their debut full-length, When the Going Got Weird, with a party at the 7th St. Entry. Alex Wiley, 2 Jayz, and Nazeem open. Hosted by DJ Snuggles, with Tiiip on the decks and live art by Amo Tarvas. 18+.
