Talking smack and dishing Hollywood dirt could be a career killer for many celebrities, but in the case of Kathy Griffin it has made her even more famous. After a slight professional hiccup around the time Suddenly Susan went off the air, the comedian returned to the public eye with a bitchier, more sarcastic attitude. On her reality show, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, the former Groundlings member quickly gained new fans with her quick wit, self-deprecating sense of humor, and willingness to mock the nature of fame. The program went on to win two Emmy awards. Nowadays, Griffin spends her time doing standup tours, working as an LGBTQ ally, and campaigning against Romney with Cher in a very memorable YouTube video. Both shows tonight are being filmed for a standup special set to air in December on Bravo. (Photo by Mike Ruiz)
