On the phone, Kathy Griffin sounds exactly like she does when talking to the camera on My Life On the D List: Everyone anywhere is an audience, and the audience is her most favorite BFF. "Oh, girl, I don't know if you guys know how clean and beautiful your city really is," she says. "Minneapolis is amazing. I can't wait to get back." The fire-haired comedian, who's coming to the Orpheum for two shows this week, tells us she just got back from Washington, D.C., where she worked to repeal "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and ran into our most embarrassing politician, Michele Bachmann. "She and her aide actually tried to get me to talk on their little flip camera," Griffin scoffs. "It was totally ridiculous." Get ready for more of Griffin's piping plate of hot dish when she touches down in the Twin Cities to satiate her usual raucous audience. (Photo by Suzette Troche-Stapp)
