Some say that one man's trash is another man's treasure. People can experience this mantra in practice at this weekend's Junk Bonanza. Now in its seventh year, the three-day festival features some of the best shopping of the year for those who love to hunt for unusual finds and fixer-up projects. The event — part flea market, part garage sale, part thrift store on a good day — will bring over 140 juried vendors who specialize in giving old things new life through a little work and creativity. Items for sale will include antique furniture; refurbished and re-imagined industrial salvages; vintage jewelry, textiles, and books; old signs and toys; and other unexpected oddities. Or purchase some bits and bats and start a project of your own. Each day will also include giveaways, plus produce and gourmet treats from local farmers and artisans.
