You probably don't know John Mulaney for his short lived self-titled network comedy. But if you've seen SNL's slithery club-kid correspondent Stefon, played by Bill Hader and buffered by then "Weekend Update" anchor Seth Meyers, you'll get a sense for his oddball observational comedy. Pull the 'best of' videos up online and try not to get caught in a YouTube spiral, and while you're at it, Netflix-and-choke-on-your-Cheetos with Mulaney's standup specials New In Town and The Comeback Kid, both equally charming and entirely gimmick-free. TV writing and sitcom flops aside, Mulaney has become one of the most likeable and laugh-worthy comics selling out theaters today, and he's done it by being exactly himself. In short, this is one of Minneapolis' hottest comedy tickets of the season.
