Ira Glass: One Radio Host, Two Dancers

You probably know the voice of Ira Glass, the host and creator of NPR's This American Life. However, you may be less familiar with Monica Bill Barnes and Company. The New York City-based dance troupe, led by choreographer Barnes, is known for its wit, unpredictability, humanity, intelligence, and poignancy. Last year, the company performed in This American Life Live! during a cinema event broadcast to more than 600 movie theaters across the U.S., Canada, and Australia. The project was such a hit that Glass and Barnes decided to create a touring show blending storytelling choreography with, well, storytelling. "One Radio Host, Two Dancers" is the result, and it brings down the house. (Photo by Ebru Yildiz)
