Hundred Waters could be the most unlikely signing to Skrillex's OWSLA label. The Gainsville group's singer, Nicole Miglis, and her bandmates have the likability of a van of indie-pop innocents, and even songs like "Xtalk," off their new The Moon Rang Like a Bell, are poppy, breathy, and serene. Their approach to writing, however, is highly fragmented, reminiscent of an adventurous six-year-old curating flavors at a soda fountain. Blending pop hooks, jazz's unpredictability, folk acoustics, and moody ambience, they're two albums in, and haven't released a weak track yet. With Fort Wilson Riot, Vacation Dad, and Har-di-Har. 18+.
