Henry Phillips has a full plate these days, literally and figuratively. His YouTube series, Henry's Kitchen, continues to grow in popularity. "I'm actually developing that a little bit more into an idea for a half-hour show," he says from his home in Los Angeles. The whole idea for the program came about quite by accident. "I was literally just looking for things to cook, so I went on YouTube, and couldn't stop laughing," he says. "There's this trend of middle-aged men who feel the need at some point in their lives to say, 'Man I'm pretty good at cooking. I better start teaching people how to cook online.' It's ridiculous. If anybody out there has the time, just YouTube 'how to make chili' and you'll see so many random people. It's real funny." Phillips is known for playing humorous songs during his set, and his YouTube show features a lot of music as well. Many of the songs from the series can be found on his 2013 CD, Let's Get Suicidal. Today's technology allows him to produce all of the video and audio at home. "I was surprised I was able to make the series at home. I don't know anything about editing, but I took iMovie, which comes with the computer, and just started using that. The more amateurish it looks, the more accurate the depiction is. It's almost a plus that I don't know what the heck I'm doing." 18+.
