"Here's what I did recently that was pretty stupid," Harland Williams tells his audience. "I was a little vain. I went out and got some cosmetic surgery. I had my chin removed and my ears enlarged. I don't know if getting the chin removed was the smartest thing in the world, as I had to cancel my violin lessons." There's more to Williams than self-effacing humor, however. "I have one joke where I go, 'We're all here at the club because we want to laugh; laughter is the best medicine. So, I went over to the hospital today and found a floor of the sickest people I could find. I went in, and laughed at them. It doesn't look like they're getting any better to me.'" After saying that, he chuckles. "That's not nice," he laments. The comic, actor, and radio-show host has also dabbled in making animated shorts. But what would he have done if comedy hadn't worked out? "I think I would have done something a bit more art-generated. I would have done more with my kid books. At one point when I was going into college, I was thinking of being a marine biologist. I dunno, one side of my brain is artistic and the other side is fascinated with science. Maybe I should do science-comedy. So, three dissected frogs walk into a Petri dish...." 18+; 21+ later shows.
