TV fans will no doubt recognize Hal Sparks from any number of gigs he's held over the past decade. He played Michael Novotny on Showtime's Queer as Folk, hosted E!'s Talk Soup, and has been a regular contributor to a variety of VH1 pop-culture shows. He also finds time to dabble in the music business as part of the hard-rock trio Zero 1. That rock 'n' roll sensibility comes out in his standup comedy. "Did anyone go see the Van Halen reunion tour?" he asks an audience. "I'm a big fan. I was very excited when I heard they were getting back together, but I was a little bit sad too, because it ended one of the coolest things that had been happening. I don't know if you know this, but up until the reunion, former lead singer David Lee Roth was living in New York City and working as an EMT. He was going out in an ambulance two nights a week. Do you know how cool that would be? That would be the greatest injury of your life!" 18+.
