The Steamroller Print Fair marks the grand opening of Studio on Fire, one of the creative businesses in the Creative Enterprise Zone in St. Paul. Originally a mechanic’s garage in the 1940s, Studio on Fire’s new home was renovated last summer before they moved in November. Now they’re hosting a grand opening complete with printing demonstrations of all kinds, including a steamroller with large moveable type printing a poster on the sidewalk outside. The fair also provides a chance to check out the work of the Studio on Fire’s printmakers, including business cards, packaging, and giveaways. It’s all a part of the Creative Enterprise Zone’s “We Make It Here” series, a monthly event that features different creative businesses in the area around University Avenue and Raymond.
