Grand Marnier Men of Distinction
The dapper dons have returned: Prohibition's Men of Distinction event is back. The event is an opportunity to celebrate timeless, gentlemanly sophistication. Inside the lowered lights of the Foshay Tower bar is an opportunity to experience the refinement of smooth leather seats against the thigh, the perfume of a well-stocked humidor, and the soft caress of Grand Marnier on the tongue. Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge, for the uninitiated, is an orange-flavored cognac liqueur created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. It is made from a blend of Cognac brandy, distilled essence of bitter orange, and sugar. For this event, three different Grand Marnier Marques will be poured. In addition to the fine alcohol, there will be a appetizers from the kitchen for noshing. Folks from Martin Patrick 3 will also bring a selection of the modern and classic goods from their store, making for an easy way to shop some of their designer-label wares. For further entertainment, attendees can watch cigars be hand-rolled. While the event is geared toward the gentlemen, ladies who appreciate men of distinction are also welcome to attend.
Thu., Sept. 19, 5-8 p.m., 2013
