Grain Belt Artists Collective: Art Ache
They say that one must suffer for her art, so it is fitting that this pre-Valentine's Day show be named after the most painful of inspirational suffering: that which involves affairs of the heart. Hopefully, attendees won't be too broken-hearted. Or, perhaps, the art on display can be a soothing balm for their pain. Local artists, both in-residence and visiting, will be on hand to display their work, including painting, sculpture, and photography. Video artists, dancers, musicians, and other performance artists will also be entertaining, challenging, and hopefully delighting guests who visit throughout this three-day open house celebration. Having a good time, after all, is the best revenge a wronged lover can have.
Fri., Feb. 6, 6 p.m.-midnight; Sat., Feb. 7, 12-8 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 8, 12-4 p.m., 2009
