Gods and Monsters: Le Grand Horreur
Just in time for Halloween, Nate Vincent Szklarski's horror-themed "Gods and Monsters" gallery show is back for a fourth installment. In past years, the event has been held at at the now-defunct Cult Status Gallery. This year, festivities will be hosted by northeast Minneapolis's Abstracted Art Gallery, which had its grand opening this year. For the exhibition, "Le Grand Horreur," 40 artists have created works drawing inspiration from horror films such as Suspira, Dracula, and Driller Killer, and the event promises to be a delight for film buffs. Artists include Szklarski, CAW, Erin Sayer, Angel Hawari, and Kao Lee Thao. Surgery at the Hands of Machines, Cantankerous Folk, and DJ Kool Hanz will provide the evening's soundtrack. This event is restricted to those 17 and older, unless accompanied by an adult. (Gabby Mohlis, Dracula)
